The educational aims of Georgia CORE are many including:

Increasing the skills and competencies of the cancer research workforce; Raising public awareness about the opportunities and benefits of clinical trials; Incorporating the perspectives of patients and survivors into clinical cancer research; Advocating for clinical trials financing, regulatory improvement and resource development; Promoting access to and enrollment in clinical trials; Stimulating dialogue and collaboration among multi-disciplinary cancer researchers.

In 2006 Georgia CORE offered the following educational programs:

Principal Investigator’s Training program co-hosted with GASCO and sponsored by Pfizer, Inc.;

Coordinated the first statewide meeting of cancer clinical trials research personnel. This meeting included development of statewide priorities for future education.
