At the heart of Georgia CORE is a commitment to quality improvement in cancer
care. Oncologists value science highly and have readily adopted evidence-based
standards of care. Oncologists are also leaders in conducting research studies
that offer the promise of new treatment modalities to combat cancer. There are
many such promising clinical and scientific discoveries on the horizon; these
breakthroughs are highly dependent upon accessible data. Consequently, Georgia
CORE views quality improvement and information technology as essential
components to a successful clinical cancer research initiative.
